Why Are My Cannabis Clones Wilting or Drooping?

Cannabis clones wilt or droop most often from transplant shock, overwatering, low humidity, or light that's too intense. The good news: most perk back up within 24 to 48 hours once you fix the cause and give them a dome, gentle light, and correct watering.

Rule out water first. Soggy medium suffocates roots and causes droopy, heavy leaves; bone-dry medium causes limp wilting. Aim for evenly moist, not wet, and let the top dry slightly between waterings.

Check humidity and light. A freshly shipped or transplanted clone can't transpire fast yet - raise humidity to 65 to 75 percent with a dome and back light down to around 200 to 300 PPFD until it recovers. Knowing what healthy cannabis clones look like helps you tell recovery from real damage.

Mild transit droop is normal. A clone that arrives a little limp usually firms up within a day under the right conditions - part of normal care upon arrival.

Persistent wilting with yellowing, a dark stem base, or brown roots is different. That points to rot or disease, not shock, and that plant may not bounce back.
