What Do Healthy Cannabis Clones Look Like?
Healthy cannabis clones have bright white roots, a firm green stem, turgid (not wilted) leaves, even coloring with no spots, and visible new growth. Brown mushy roots, yellowing, drooping, a dark stem base, or any sign of pests are the red flags to reject.
Start at the roots. White, fibrous roots poking from the plug or cube mean the clone is established and ready to grow. Brown, slimy, or absent roots mean it isn't rooted or is rotting.
Check the stem and leaves. The stem should be firm and green, not dark, soft, or pinched at the base. Leaves should be turgid and uniformly green; mild transit droop recovers in a day, but persistent wilting or yellowing does not.
Inspect for pests and disease. Look under leaves and at the nodes for webbing, tiny moving specks, white residue, or spotting. A clean clone has none of these - the same inspection you'll run when you care for cannabis clones upon arrival.
Confirm the genetics are labeled and true to type. A healthy clone from a good source arrives correctly labeled with documented lineage - one more reason to use the best place to buy cannabis clones.
